Puzzle 22 - Masyu

Image
A slightly easier Masyu today - I wanted to make a "wall" of white pearls with black pearls on one side of it. Originally this was to be on a 17x17, but I thought this turned out quite well on a 10x10. Rules- Draw lines through orthogonally adjacent cells to form a loop that goes through every circle. The loop cannot branch off or cross itself. The loop must turn on black circles and travel straight through the cells before and after the circle. The loop must go straight through white circles, and turn in at least one of the cells on either side. Puzz.link Interface

Another day, another masyu (day 3!). I'm honestly pretty surprised this is unique. I originally wanted to make a puzzle on a 10x10 using just black pearls, but then wanted it to fit a theme. This is also a lot tougher than I intended it to be, but it solves logically. Puzz.link Interface Rules- Draw lines through orthogonally adjacent cells to form a loop that goes through every circle. The loop cannot branch off or cross itself. The loop must turn on black circles and travel straight through the cells before and after the circle. Another day, another masyu!! This time on a non-standard board size. I originally wanted to do this on a 17x17 but with a 5x5 square in the center, but then quickly realized this theme was really hard and I didn't want to lose my sanity. Oh well, I still think this turned out alright. Puzz.link Interface Rules- Draw lines through orthogonally adjacent cells to form a loop that goes through every circle. The loop cannot branch off or cross itself. The loop must turn on black circles and travel straight through the cells before and after the circle. The loop must go straight through white circles, and turn in at least one of the cells on either side.

Puzzle 19 - Masyu

Another day, another Masyu! This one's a continuation of the checkerboard theme I made last time. I thought this one turned out really well, if not better, than the previous.

Wow, this took quite a while to make! I originally wanted this to be on a 17x17 grid, but realized the odd number of pearls on the edges made it impossible. This theme was surprisingly hard to construct, and uniqueness was hard to prove at the end. However, I think it turned out quite well.

Puzzle 17 - Slitherlink

Yesterday, Jovi_al gave me a theme for a slitherlink to create, so I made just that! I built it to showcase a specific shading deduction in the top right corner (that was constructed first) and the rest of the puzzle was built around it. Rules: Draw lines along the edges of some cells to form a loop. The loop cannot branch off or cross itself. A number indicates the amount of edges surrounding the cell that are visited by the loop. Puzzle 16 - Masyu

This puzzle arose out of a failed attempt at making a slitherlink with a really constrained theme (maybe I'll end up finally making that and posting it on my blog). Anyways, I think this turned out quite well! The puzzle was built entirely around the center all-black-pearl diamond; after some quick experimentation, I found the outer diamond couldn't be all black pearls. But making it all white pearls is boring, too. Oh well. Rules- Draw lines through orthogonally adjacent cells to form a loop that goes through every circle. The loop cannot branch off or cross itself. The loop must turn on black circles and travel straight through the cells before and after the circle.
